Men

Men hurt us women
oh so much
they don't like to share
only to touch

All they want
are easy girls
they don't want the ones
in ribbons and curls

They don't know how
to cherish and love
They can't really see
the beauty of a dove

They're like owls
searching for prey at night
They dive, kill, get what they want
then return to flight

They say they'd never hurt us
but they turn and stab us in our hearts
Their knowledge consists of sports, beer,
and how to buy car parts.

Oh, if I could meet one
who would love me as I am
Not change me or push me around
or get me in some big scam

I would forever
hold him tight
He'd be my man in armor
to love; my knight
